I view it as a benchmark of where my writing currently stands; and where it currently stands is material that is worth money. As callus as that may sound, I never expected to make a dime from anything I write.
For the sake of being humble, I will not put the word professional in front of writer at this time, but perhaps in the future.
Speaking of the future, and of the past, I believe that my writing has improved over these past three years; and it will continue to get better.
